Why did Jesus say you are the salt of the earth?
1, because salt makes food taste better.
This earth is made of salt, and salt tastes nothing, so that we who are on this earth may be salt to a world that has no taste.

These two people are at each other's throats and have been in a lot of disagreements in the church, so it is important for them to stop and come to an agreement.
